haiku my heart ~  persimmons

Lush, wondrous orange fruit…
This Winter ripeness can’t wait.
I pluck you myself.

I so wanted a painting from another artist
whose work I greatly admire...
My Brit friend Mollie,
who was just here visiting, said...
"why don't you make your own painting?"

So I did.

I painted my own branch of luscious Winter persimmons,
to hang on my wall for me to enjoy,
in oh so many ways,
every day of the year!

What...
is ripe in your world
and waiting for you to pluck?

I'm in ooh and awe over your painting Lea... the wonderful colours and the well-placed 'balance', it is a beautiful piece of art! I'm so happy you are able to visit my place too - as I enjoy your presence on my blog as much as I enjoy visiting yours!

It is the question at the end--"What is ripe in your world and waiting for you to pluck"--that tugs most at my heart. Ohhh...
