Snake winding, twisting
beneath purple green sage
mother strides forward,
baby at her breast
into the twisting path that appears
beneath students' hands
as they listen
to the earth speak about healing bodies
healing time...
healing man and woman
listening to broomsticks and rakes
that stand side by side in the old pool
where leaves are piled around rust red spirals....

Who is the student who is the teacher?
Wisdom pours forth
from first time explorations
negotiating, giving, receiving
finding the space
for experience together and alone
as the heart-ball weaves a web
where footsteps have been
as old as they are young.
