Water Swirls
Water
swirls
then gathers
and paints the shore
with smooth
sand,
palette waiting
for
she who
dances in labyrinths
at the edges
of the ocean
Feet prance over
and through the sand,
leaving footsteps
that kiss the lines
emerging
in circles connecting
again and again
in spiral dance,
in ancient lines
that spring anew
with each curve
Water swirls
then gathers
and paints the shore
with white
and aquamarine memories
ever moving,
ever changing,
ever filling Spirit
into matter
and matter into the formless
as water swirls
then gathers
and paints the shore
again and again
